Please see some of our student’s stories below, and come to understand the long and difficult journey each of them has gone through to get where they are today!
Christina’s Story
Christina is a joyful little girl who loves attending Embers Academy with her two older siblings.
She has a speech disability and developmental delays. With a grant from Rosewood, Christina is thriving in the kindergarten classroom and exceeding all expectations. She is even learning to read!
Kathryn
Kathryn is a bright young preschool student at St. Ann School in Pilsen. She brings joyful energy to her classroom each day! Kathryn’s parents dreamed of sending her to the same Catholic school as her four siblings, despite her Autism diagnosis.
Mateo’s Victory!
Mateo attends Our Lady of Mount Carmel Academy and joined the Cross Country team in the Fall. He loved being a part of it and was always ready to go and full of energy!
Katie
Katie is a joyful young lady with Cerebral Palsy. She attended public school for several years but her parents wanted Katie to receive the Catholic education and character formation that her older siblings benefited from in a Catholic school. They tried homeschooling and she learned a lot, but it wasn’t the right fit for Katie’s education.
Griffin
Griffin is a cheerful, young boy who happens to have Downs Syndrome. With a grant from Rosewood Foundation, he is able to attend St. John the Evangelist School in Streamwood.
